Our class had a blast celebrating "Chinese New Year" after learning all about Ancient Chinese Civilization! As a celebration of our learning, everyone wore RED to symbolize good luck. We made dragon puppets and red lanterns, and then watched footage from a Chinese New Year celebration in San Francisco. We also used chopsticks to eat sticky rice. Aaron's family donated some Chinese candies for us to try. At the end of the day, students received lucky red envelopes with "money," a tradition for Chinese children every year. Below are some pictures from our fun morning!
